Pickle serialization is NOT deterministic across Python sessions due to hash randomization affecting frozenset iteration order. This causes distributed caching to fail because different pods compute different hashes for identical cache keys. Fix: Use _canonicalize() + JSON serialization which ensures deterministic ordering regardless of Python's hash randomization.
